ABOUT THE PROJECT

CTRL+Z is a webcomic, that was also my graduation project for college. It's a retelling of my years from high school to college graduation, focusing on my inner struggles with motivation a the lack of direction. I’ve been making comics for years but this is the first time I worked on a comic that's not driven by it’s story but rather, it’s imagery. I tried to convey my feelings to the readers rather than just tell the things that happened in chronological order. In order to do that, I chose a simple but ever changing style, mixed and matched mediums

FROM TRADITIONAL ART TO COLLAGE TO DIGITAL ART

Thanks to the nature of webcomics, I could use elements unique to this form of comic: the infinite canvas and animations. This gave the comic the long, scrolling format that's getting more and more popular nowadays, and the unique advantage of animated panels or elements.
To help convey feelings better, I often used mediums I felt most suited the panels, so CTRL+Z ended up containing watercolors panels, old sketches from my high school notebooks, a collage made from a calendar, ink and graphite drawings, and a variety of digital art styles.

CTRL+Z was published on a weekly basis from February 2015 to July 2015 on tapas and can still be read there.
